Medicinal chemist

Evariste Technologies is a quant biotech. We aim to use mathematical modelling and Bayesian statistics to drive a revolution in drug discovery. We are looking to expand our fast growing and dynamic team in our key areas of expertise, to accelerate the development of our platform and pipeline.


We are looking for a medicinal chemist to join our core team and help lead the development of our pipeline and our platform. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of medicinal chemists, mathematicians, and machine learning engineers.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:


  • Lead multiple small molecule discovery projects, primarily focused on oncology

  • Work closely with multiple CRO partners, coordinating both discovery chemistry and biological assays

  • Develop skills in diverse areas, such as basic computer programming and machine learning

  • Work with, and contribute to the development of, a cutting-edge drug design platform which facilitates every step of small molecule discovery, from hit ID to candidate selection.


This will be a highly interdisciplinary position and will best suit candidates able to apply their exceptional domain knowledge outside of their areas of expertise.

  • 5+ years of medicinal chemistry experience, either in academia or industry

  • Open to working on novel ideas and applying domain knowledge to problems outside your area of expertise

  • Willingness to utilise algorithmic compound design, as well as your own ideas

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK. 

  • PhD in chemistry or other scientific discipline

  • Experience working with and coordinating CROs

  • Knowledge of late-stage compound optimisation and pre-clinical development

  • Basic knowledge of Python (or any other programming language).
